Is graffiti art or vandalism?
That word has a lot of negative connotations and it alienates people, so no, I don’t like to use the word ‘art’ at all.

banksy is one of the heroes i look up to. not that i can see him as he’s never had an officially released photograph, but his work speaks volumes. he gets into the London papers a lot, but it’s not all just sensationalism. there’s far more intelligence in what he does than the average graffiti artist. don’t get me wrong, i’ve got no beef with graffiti artists, but he’s just that far ahead in terms of thinking.

then again, he doesn’t just do graffiti.
